A YORK care home has received top marks in a national survey.

Connaught Court in Fulford has received top marks in a nationwide survey of residents, with results showing 97 per cent saying that they were satisfied with the overall standard of care.

Amongst the findings, 97 per cent of residents said that staff treat them with kindness, dignity and respect, and the same number said could take part in activities and hobbies at the home if they wanted.

The Your Care Rating survey is the UK’s largest survey of care home residents, and it surveyed 18,786 residents in 914 homes across the country.

Connaught Court manager Victoria Wilson said: “As an organisation, we are always working closely with our residents and their families to provide person centred care, which means care that meets a person’s individual needs.

“Taking part in the Your Care Rating Survey provides us with invaluable feedback. It helps us to better understand what our residents think about our services, and how we can continually develop the care and support that we provide to people.”
