THE final touches are being put in place for Malton School’s production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, which will be staged next week.

Cast, crew and volunteers have all played a huge part in helping get the show ready.

Joseph’s spectacular “dreamcoat” has been created by parent Janet Kelly.

Year 11 student Megan Smith has worked with the cast choreographing dance moves, while other students are working backstage on make-up, lighting and sound.

Drama teacher Hayley Spiers said: “The commitment and enthusiasm of the students should be applauded as there would be no show without their dedication.

“We are grateful to other volunteers who have given up time to come into school to help.

“I can’t wait to show off what a terrific cast, crew and band we have working on the show this year – they are a credit to Malton School and I am so proud of them.”

The main cast are Isaac Rice as Joseph, Becky Heslop, Lucy Macphee and Heather Staples as narrators and James Elliot as Jacob/Potiphar.

Joseph will take place from March 29 to 31, at 7pm. Tickets are £7 adults, £5 children and £20 family, and are available from the school’s West Wing reception, phone 01653 692828.
