A PEDESTRIAN who was seriously injured in a hit and run in York remains in hospital, police said.
The man, believed to be in his mid-fifties, was hit by a car on the corner of Blossom Street and Nunnery Lane on Tuesday afternoon and taken to York Hospital with serious head injuries.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said yesterday the man was still being treated in hospital, but could not confirm his condition.
A 40-year-old woman was arrested on Tuesday afternoon after police sought help finding the driver of a black Nissan.
The woman has been released on bail while investigations continue, police said.
