EAST Riding of Yorkshire Council has launched a new drive to get adults more active.
The council’s public health expert Laurie Ferguson said: “You don’t have to go to the gym, wear sportswear or start expensive fitness programmes to get the benefits of an active lifestyle, walking counts too.” Just 10 minutes of brisk walking a day can help improve health, the council says, and it is promoting a free One You Active 10 app to help people track their walking.
