CCTV images have been released of a man and two women police want to speak to in connection with a number of vehicles being vandalised in Copmanthorpe.
North Yorkshire Police said it happened at about 3.30am on Sunday in Barons Crescent and involved vehicles being scratched by a sharp implement.
The force is asking for the public's help to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: "We would like to speak to the people in the CCTV stills as they may have important information that could assist the investigation.
Anyone who recognises the people in the CCTV images, or who has any information that could assist the investigation should phone the force on 101, select option 2 and ask to speak to Terence Priestman.
