EDEN Camp Modern History Theme Museum is hosting a 'meet the attractions day' to start the celebrations to mark its 30th year.

The museum. which is still a family owned and run business, based near Old Malton, will be marking the special anniversary in a number of ways during the course of the season.

The first event will take place on Wednesday, March 22, when the museum will host a “Meet the Attractions Day.”

Around 45 attractions from all over North and East Yorkshire will be attending, and holiday accommodation providers have been invited to meet with the attractions, to find out what’s new for 2017 and collect up-to-date promotional leaflets and information for their prospective guests.

Attendees will also be able to look round the museum and visit the newly refurbished WinStan’s Bunker Café and Gift Shop.

The event starts at 10.30am and finishes at 1.45pm.

Nick Hill, Museum Manager:“Over the last 30 years Eden Camp has made a significant contribution to tourism, bringing in excess of 3.5 million visitors into the Ryedale and North Yorkshire area from all over the world. We believe that we continue to make a significant contribution, not only for our own business, but also for other operators, attractions and businesses associated with and connected to tourism in the area. We are confident that organising and hosting this ‘Meet the Attraction’ event will prove extremely beneficial for local attractions and tourist accommodation providers.”

If any tourist accommodation provider in the area would like to attend but have not yet received an invite, they should contact Eden Camp on 01653 697777, or e-mail: admin@edencamp.co.uk
