Residents evacuated after car crashes into house, causing gas leak
RESIDENTS in a Beverley street have been evacuated after a car crashed into a house, causing a gas leak.
Humberside Police Vauxhall Astra crashed into the property in Grovehill Road at about 10.30am today, damaging the house and leading to a gas leak.
"There is a cordon in place and evacuation of adjoining properties is also necessary," said a spokesman.
"The road is blocked from Cherry Tree Lane to Trinity Grove / Armstrong Way and will remain so until the emergency services can make the area safe.
"There are thought to be two people injured both are though to have sustained minor injuries. Please avoid the area."
