A LECTURE is to be given about a Ryedale man who helped start the University of York.
The Sheldon Memorial Lecture 2017 will be given by Dr Jane Crease, about Prof Patrick Nuttgens CBE, who died in 2004, and was the first Professor of Architecture at York.
It will take place in The Merchant Adventurers’ Hall on Wednesday, March 29 at 7pm.
Tickets cost £5 from the Sheldon Memorial Trust at 21 School Lane, Copmanthorpe, York YO23 3SQ by March 20.
