THE family of a York man who was found dead at a flat in the city have paid tribute to him.
Shaun Skelton was found dead at his flat in Chancery House, Holgate Road, in the early hours of Monday.
A family statement released by North Yorkshire Police said: "Shaun was a father, son, brother, uncle and grandad who has been taken from us too soon.
"He was a quiet man who kept himself to himself with a love of pet birds and was an avid Leeds United supporter. He will be sadly missed by us all."
A 19-year-old man has been charged with Mr Skelton's murder, and is due before Leeds Crown Court next month.
