SUTTON United will be without suspended trio Roarie Deacon, Craig Eastmond and Simon Downer for tomorrow’s home clash against York City.

All three were key members of the Yellows’ side that reached the last 16 of the FA Cup before bowing out 2-0 to Arsenal with nine-goal, top scorer Deacon, in particular, receiving national acclaim in the televised clash against the Gunners when he hit the bar.

The former Crawley attacker was sent off, though, in last weekend’s 0-0 draw at Barrow for a second bookable offence, meaning he will miss out against the Minstermen.

Midfielder Eastmond and defender Downer, meanwhile, will both complete two-match bans for reaching ten bookings for the season.

Experienced marksman Matt Tubbs, so often the scourge of City defences in the past, will not feature either, having been told he is free to find another club, along with fellow forward Dan Fitchett.

Keeper Ross Worner is also sidelined with the groin injury that has kept him out for the last two matches.

Following in the wake of infamous, pie-eating deputy Wayne Shaw’s resignation from the club, ex-Wimbledon shot-stopper Seb Brown has been appointed as the club’s new player/goalkeeping coach and will be on the bench with on-loan Bristol Rovers net-minder Will Puddy continuing between the sticks.

Puddy, who also went on loan to National League rivals Braintree earlier in the campaign, is yet to concede a goal during his first two matches for the Gander Green Lane outfit.

On-loan Barnet winger Kieron Cadogan is set to make his full debut in place of Deacon, having been introduced from the bench at Barrow.

Arsenal remain the only visiting team of 11 to have won on Sutton’s 3G pitch since the end of November when Dover were 6-0 winners.

Since that league reverse, Championship promotion hopefuls Leeds were also sent packing in the FA Cup prior to the visit of Arsene Wenger’s men last month.

Only high-flying trio Lincoln, Tranmere and Aldershot have won more National League games in front of their own fans, with 11 apiece compared to 16th-placed Sutton’s ten, but Paul Doswell’s team currently sit eight points above the relegation zone.

Sutton (probable): Puddy, Amankwaah, Beckwith, Spence, May, Collins, Gomis, Bailey, Cadogan, Biamou, Coombes.
