LINCOLN will be bidding for an EIGHTH straight victory when they entertain York City at Sincil Bank.

The Imps have claimed the scalps of Premier League Burnley and Championship leaders Brighton on their march to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup in that time and have also won NINE home matches on the trot at home.

Aldershot were the last side to come away undefeated from Sincil Bank following a 3-3 draw back on November 12, while Danny Cowley’s men also go into this match having kept three consecutive clean sheets – all on the road against Boreham Wood (2-0), North Ferriby (1-0) and Burnley (1-0).

The National League table-toppers have only been beaten twice on their own soil this term against Barrow (1-2) and Sutton (1-3) in September and August respectively.

Cowley also has a full squad of players to choose from, other than Luke Beevers, who dislocated his knee in October.

Having made seven changes for Saturday’s Trophy triumph at Boreham Wood, Lincoln are expected to recall the likes of Luke Waterfall, Sean Raggett, Nathan Arnold, Alex Woodyard, Dayle Southwell and Matt Rhead after they were all left out of the weekend’s squad.

Top scorer Rhead has netted 13 times this season, but has only hit the target during one match in his last 16 outings when he bagged a brace earlier this month in a 3-2 victory over Woking.

Former City loan midfielder Elliott Whitehouse, meanwhile, is expected to feature against his old club, having made 18 appearances and scored four goals since his move from Nuneaton earlier this season.
