TADCASTER Theatre Company has raised more than £1,000 for the town’s Flood Action Group through its pantomime,Sleeping Beauty and the Broken Bridge.
Theatre chair Catherine Marshall said that following the partial collapse of the bridge in late 2015, the company decided to adapt the pantomime with a fresh up-to-date angle while also helping flood victims.
“We are grateful to Alan P Frayn for re-writing his script at no additional cost, which all helped with our fundraising.”
Nicola Eades, senior co-ordinator for the group, said the funds would go a long way to helping the group and would be put towards its lifebuoy project.
