TWO mums are planning a charity ball to raise money to give their sons life-enhancing rehabilitation therapy.

Sarah Williams, of Harrogate, and Caroline Day, of Knaresborough, hope their Sunshine Ball in June will boost a fund to buy essential equipment for Felix and Oscar and send both boys to Canada for specialist treatment.

Felix Williams, six, is unable to walk or crawl as a result of a life-limiting neurological condition. Oscar Day, four, has cerebral palsy and requires regular and intensive physiotherapy.

Both mums say they have already been overwhelmed by the support they have received from the local community since their sons were diagnosed.

A year ago The Rainbow Fund paid for a special wheelchair for Felix after his parents were told it was no longer available on the NHS.

Meanwhile, in December Harrogate property firm FSS spearheaded a campaign to help Oscar reach his £10,000 target to pay for his trip to Canada for treatment.

The ball will take place at the Pavilions of Harrogate at the Great Yorkshire Showground on June 17.

Tickets are £40 each to include a three course meal and disco. To book tickets or reserve a table email carolineburns@hotmail.co.uk
