IT'S a tough job, but someone has to do it.
Judges have assessed 127 Easter eggs or chocolates on the market this year, and declared the winners in a range of categories.
The Good Housekeeping Institute has named the best for children, teenagers and adults, and the best for sharing and in the free-from range.
Shortlisted eggs in each category were blind-tasted and assessed for appearance, aroma, texture and taste.
Judges said:
Best for grown-ups and top scorers overall, score of 80/100
- Tesco Finest Belgian Milk Chocolate Hidden Egg - £15
- Betty's Trio of Spring Flower Eggs - £27.50
Best for children, score of 78/100
- Aldi Dairyfine Giant Chocolate Bunny - £3.99
Best for teenagers, score of 76/100
- Iceland's Honeycomb & Caramel egg - £4
Best for sharing, score of 79/100

Caroline Bloor, consumer director at Good Housekeeping, said: “Retailers have definitely upped their game with innovative and eye-catching products but, disappointingly, much of the chocolate failed to deliver on taste. If you’re on the hunt for delicious Easter Eggs, you need to look out for our winners.”
