A MAN with distinctive tattoos on his hands is being sought by police as they investigate an assault in York.
The attack happened in East Parade, Heworth, between 6.30am and 7am on Tuesday January 24 but is only now being publicised by North Yorkshire Police.
A force spokesman said officers were appealing for information to help identify a man in his 50s or 60s, of average height and build and with stubble and distinctive tattoos on both hands.
He was wearing a black beanie type hat, green jacket with cream/white fur around the collar and glasses.
