PEOPLE from across York and North Yorkshire are being invited to join Tadcaster residents tomorrow in celebrating the reopening of the town’s bridge.
The celebrations include a lantern procession over the bridge at 5.45 pm and a fireworks display at 7pm.
There will also be the premiere at St Mary’s Church of a ten-minute film about the £4.3 million reconstruction of the bridge, which partially collapsed after severe flooding in the River Wharfe in late 2015. Screenings are at at 1 pm and every half hour afterwards.
