THE hard work of a married couple at the heart of the Yorkshire North & West Army Cadet Force’s B Company have been recognised on the occasion of their joint retirement.
Between them Anita and Mark Coe have dedicated more than 50 years of voluntary service to the ACF in Yorkshire.
Mark had himself been a cadet before becoming a Cadet Force Adult Volunteer (CFAV) in July 1982. Although he is pictured wearing his Royal Signals beret, he has also been cap-badged to the Queen’s Own Yeomanry (QOY), Prince of Wales’ Own (PWO), The Green Howards and the Yorkshire Regiment during his long career. Anita joined as an adult in 1998; she is also a signaller and has previously served as an adult volunteer with the QOY, PWO and the Adjutant General’s Corps. They were presented with gifts by RSM Butler and the recently-appointed County Commandant, Colonel Greenlee at Strensall army barracks.
