POLICE are still appealing for witnesses after two cars drove into oncoming traffic and onto pavements during the school run in York.
The Ford Focus and Volkswagen Golf caused vehicles and pedestrians to take evasive action in Heworth Road and Stockton Lane between 8.45am and 9.15am on Thursday, February 2.
PC Luke Anderson previously said: "It was very fortunate that lives were not lost as a result of the dangerous manner in which these vehicles were being driven.
"While a number of witnesses have come forward, we believe there were other people in the area who may have seen the incident and I urge them to contact us as they may have vital information which could assist with this enquiry."
Yesterday, a police spokeswoman confirmed nobody had been arrested in connection with the incident, and witnesses were still urged to contact police.
Anyone with information should phone 101, email luke.alderson@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk or contact Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111 quoting reference 12170018573.
