A RYEDALE tour operator has scooped a travel award from the German Tourist Board (GNTB).
Inntravel, whose offices are near Castle Howard, has been awarded Best Tour Operator by the GNTB in its 2017 Germany Travel Awards.
The award was presented to Alison Temple, Inntravel’s regional manager for Germany, at a dinner in London attended by 120 guests from the UK travel industry.
Alison said: “While we introduced Germany in 2010 to our portfolio of European holidays, we have put far greater emphasis on developing our German programme over the last three years. Our customers really enjoy the travel experience in Germany: the routes are well waymarked, the countryside is beautiful, the transport efficient and the people extremely friendly. What’s not to like!”
Architecture, history and wine are common themes in Inntravel’s 15 holidays to Germany, whether on foot, by bike or by train.
Klaus Lohmann, director of the GNTO UK and Ireland, said: “Congratulations to all the winners of this year’s Germany Travel Awards. We were particularly pleased to welcome and award new talent for tourism to Germany and, with visitor numbers to Germany showing yet another increase, there are many opportunities available for UK travel professionals offering German products.”
