Kitchen fire victim given first aid
A RESIDENT was given first aid after fire broke out in the kitchen of their home in Malton today.
North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said the blaze happened at a property in Princess Terrace at 4.50pm.
The Malton crews attended but the fire was out on their arrival, and the area made safe after the occupant was given first aid.
Meanwhile, a crew from Acomb used buckets of water to tackle a fire in the grounds of a derelict building in Main Street, Upper Poppleton, at 2pm..
