I WOULD like to thank, publicly, the superb staff and management of the Grand Opera House, the collection volunteers, and the general public who were so generous in their donations to the Lord Mayor’s charities during the run of the pantomime, Aladdin, at the theatre.
The bucket collection raised £1,804.11, which is an amazing total.
The next major fundraising event will be the Lord Mayor’s Annual Charity Ball on Saturday, February 11, held at York Racecourse. It will be a black-tie ball with dinner, dancing to live music from Jess Gardham and the lively Hyde Family Jam, followed by DJs until the early hours.
Phenomenal prizes will be on offer in the raffle and auction on the night.
