STILL the stadium fiasco rumbles on with both sides blaming everyone but themselves.

Surely what is undeniable is that the big winners, if it is ever built, will be the two professional sports teams who will end up playing there.

They will, it seems, have put very little of their own money forward.

They may well not have any to give, but will benefit the most.

If they can’t afford to contribute, how about their respective governing bodies the Football Association and the Rugby Football League chipping in?

If these bodies can’t or won’t help out, then why should the hard-pressed council tax payers of York put their money into the scheme?

Calling it a community stadium is a joke as most of the community will never get to use it, nor want to anyway.
