ROADWORKS are about to start on the York to Hull road, causing lane closures and a 50mph speed limit.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council is about to start maintenance on seven bridges on the A1079 between Bishop Burton and the A1079/ A164 junction south of Beverley.
The £500,000 project is due to start on Monday, January 23 and take until the end of March to complete.
A 50mph speed limit will be in place, as well as lane closures on the dual carriageway sections. During the night traffic signals will be used, and there will be traffic lights on Newbald Road and Walkington Road where they cross the A1079. The layby north of Jocks Lodge interchange will be closed.
