GENEROUS staff at Benenden have collected hundreds of toys, board games, books, teddies, chocolates and biscuits for The Press’ Toys & Tins Appeal.
The collection is a massive boost to our annual drive to brighten up Christmas for victims of domestic violence and other vulnerable residents.
The Salvation Army has already collected a carload of food and toys, while Independent Domestic Abuse Services (IDAS), formerly the York’s Women’s Aid Refuge, will be collecting items later this week for women and their children recovering from domestic violence.
Benenden spokeswoman Nicola Taylor said: “Every year we are blown away by the generosity of staff as we see so many donations coming in to help support the beneficiaries of the Independent Domestic Abuse Services and the Salvation Army.”
*Donations should be dropped at The Press’ reception in Walmgate by tomorrow.
