WHEN it comes to the Government passing legislation with regard to the use of mobile phones, it would seem some MPs follow a code of “don’t do as I do, but do as I say”.
It would appear that some MPs were using their mobiles in the chamber of the House of Commons during the presentation of the Autumn Statement along with the Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell’s reply.
For these MPs tweeting on their mobile phones seems to take precedence over the welfare of the country’s affairs - and no doubt the equipment used will be paid for by the tax payer and claimed on expenses.
May I suggest that the Speaker of the House issues a fine and penalty points for any indiscretion and when it comes to election time would-be voters can take note.
