PLUCKY volunteers will have their heads shaved and body parts waxed for the Meningitis Research Foundation.
Liam Haxby, a coach at New Earswick All Blacks, is taking part after his friend, former coach and player, Ady Robinson, died aged 36 in December 2014.
Mr Robinson’s partner Julie and Rich, the club’s secretary, are also having their hair shaved off on Saturday night at New Earswick Sports and Social Club, White Rose Avenue, York.
A number of other volunteers will have their chest and legs waxed to help raise funds in Mr Robinson’s memory.
Doors open at 7pm.
