THE announcement of a string of concerts at the Royal Albert Hall in June 2017, and the publication of Phil Collins’s autobiography, Not Dead Yet, followed the inspired and beautifully curated Take A Look At Me Now album series.
The double disc sets of all eight studio albums are absolutely worth checking out. However, those that would prefer the hits, and nothing but the hits, need look no further.
Everything a casual fans really needs is present and correct on the 30-track double and 45-track triple set: In the Air Tonight, A Groovy Kind Of Love, Another Day In Paradise and Something Happened On The WayTo Heaven. Of course, there is the odd dud. Did anyone ever really like Sussudio?
However, mostly the quality level is remarkably high, making this an essential greatest hits collection, including seven American number one singles and the Oscar-winning You’ll Be in My Heart from Disney’s Tarzan.
