TWO new festive window displays were revealed over the weekend as shops continued to take part in York’s live advent calendar.

Businesses throughout the city are joining in the unique display, with one trader revealing its Christmas display every day until December 25.

December 3 was York Chocolate Story’s turn to pull back the wrapping paper and unveil its creation.

Shoppers gathered at 11am to see the King’s Square attraction reveal its chocolatey art work, complete with a winter scene of a chocolate-ball tree, chocolate lollies, baubles and hazelnuts.

The following day saw Browns, in Davygate, show off its window display of a black and white Christmas scene.

Today will see the Medieval townhouse Barley Hall reveal their display from 11am.

All window displays will remain in place for the duration of advent.

This week will also see The Press’ offices in Walmgate reveal their advent window when the wrapping paper is pulled down on Tuesday.
