Police have re-opened a street in Selby after a Second World War hand grenade was discovered.
999 crews closed off Flaxley Road after the explosive was found on Saturday morning.
North Yorkshire Police said they were unsure if it was "live or dead" and called in a bomb disposal team, who declared the weapon safe.
Police left the scene around 2.30pm.
