A FASHION show has raised thousands of pounds for St Leonard's Hospice.

Stylish volunteers strutted their stuff in the beautiful surroundings of the De Grey Rooms, in St Leonard's Place, York.

The clothes on show were donated to the Hospice and were themed to include ‘posh and partywear’ items, which included evening dresses, handbags and accessories.

Items were sold after the show, together with other donated items including designer goods.

Helen Moreton, retail manager at the Hospice, said: "Everyone had a great night and we’d like to thank all the volunteer models who did such a great job, Ben Fry from Minster FM who MC’d the event so well, John Warburton who choreographed the whole thing, and the amazing team at the Theatre Royal, who not only helped out on the night, but also donated the use of the beautiful venue."

The money raised will go towards the Hospice’s £3.85m annual running costs.
