POLICE have launched a new operation in the Osbaldwick area of York, which they say will use ‘sophisticated data analysis to tackle crime and the fear of crime’.
Operation Tansu, held yesterday and today, is bringing a high-visibility police presence, extra patrols and targeted communications to provide reassurance and crime prevention advice to residents, said North Yorkshire Police.
Residents can also get valuable items such as bikes and laptops security marked at Osbaldwick Sports Club from 4pm to 8pm today.
