THE first snow of winter has fallen in York and North Yorkshire, making driiving conditions difficult in some hillier locations.
These images, taken from webcams operated by North Yorkshire County Council, show snowfall this morning at Sutton Bank, near Helmsley and at Leyburn.
Police have reported that a car has left the A59 at the Menwith Hill Cross Roads, near Harrogate.
Some Northern Rail services have been cancelled and delayed this morning, after a tree fell on the line between Knaresborough and Harrogate.

The B6451 between Menwith Hill and Summerbridge is being closed by police due to dangerous driving conditions.
There is a lot of snow on the roads in Hambleton, and police say one car has spun off the A1.
York saw a light dusting on snow early today, although it did not lie.
The weather should gradually dry up by early afternoon, with slightly milder conditions expected over the next couple of days.
