A VILLAGE pub that was severely damaged by last December's flooding has won a regional award, just weeks after reopening.
The Ship Inn at Acaster Malbis, just south of York, was named the regional winner of Enterprise Inns' pubs in bloom competition.
Landlord Tony Nicholson said: "We are so delighted to win this after all the hard work that has gone into making our garden look so lovely for our customers and the locals who walk or drive by each day. Special thanks must go to John Pool, our gardener."
