THE fireworks and music spectacular at York Maze has sold out in record time, organisers say.

Tom Pearcy, owner of the maze, said demand had been very strong.

He said: "I believe in celebrating bonfire night on November 5, so while other events chop and change the date, we have always stuck to the 5th. More often than not that means it’s a mid-week night but when it falls on a weekend as it does this year demand for tickets is always very high.

York Press:

“We put a lot of effort into giving our Bonfire night visitors a complete night out with entertainment before and after the fireworks. Party Band Huge will be playing live in the giant marquee after the fireworks so we hope people will stay on, enjoy the show and stagger their departure times."

People without tickets are asked not to try to get in.
