THE next phase of a major improvement scheme in East Yorkshire starts next week, with motorists being warned of overnight road closures and diversions.

East Riding of Yorkshire Council said the project on the A614, between Kelleythorpe and Nafferton, near Driffield, would last for seven nights.

“This section of the works involves the roundabout at the junction of the A614 and B1249,” said a spokesman.

“The roundabout and approach roads will be resurfaced with a skid resistant, low noise material.”

He said the whole scheme of improvements along the A614 was due for completion by November 14.
