A NEW retirement housing complex in North Yorkshire has thrown open its doors for a series of open days.
The Mickle Hill development in Pickering is being built by Christian housing charity MHA with 90 apartments and 78 bungalows, as well as leisure facilities like a bistro, cinema, hair salon, gym, a Jacuzzi and communal gardens; and on-site care staff.
The open days took place over a week, and one of the visitors was Thirsk and Malton MP Kevin Hollinrake, who said: “I think it’s a fantastic place. Looking round, you think about people in your family who might want to live here but you also think well, I could see myself living here. It really is tremendous.”
He was given a tour of the facilities.
