RESIDENTS are being urged to complete an online survey which will go toward shaping the spending priorities of East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
The authority must consider how it can deliver services in a different way to reduce costs and this survey will help prioritise funding for services.
The council has already made savings of £140 million in the last seven years but a further £61 million of savings need to be made over the next four years, up to 2020/21.
Cllr Stephen Parnaby, leader of East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said: “The online survey should take around 10 minutes of people’s time and it is important that people do take the time to let us know what they think, what’s important to them and where they feel our spending should be prioritised.”
The online budget consultation is at www.eastriding.gov.uk/budgetsurvey and residents have until Sunday, December 4 to take part.
