A COMMUNICATIONS company in York specialising in education has given a full-time job to its first apprentice.

ThreeFour Consultancy Ltd, of Kings Court, Shambles, which handles creative, marketing and communications services for schools and academies in the city and across Yorkshire, took on Emma Gough last year as part of a 15-months Approved Advanced Apprenticeship Framework.

Now, after successfully completing a graphic design NVQ Level 3 diploma, Emma has been rewarded for her hard work with a full-time position with the company.

Emma, 21, said: “It’s great news.

“I love graphic design and have loved my apprenticeship here.

“I’ve learned a lot and I’m thrilled to be part of a great team.”

ThreeFour director Tim Moat said: “We found the council’s apprentice advisory service really helpful.

“They worked with us to recruit a suitable apprentice and it’s fitting that as a company helping schools – and therefore children and young people – that we did our bit to try and provide an employment opportunity for a young person starting out.”

Creative director David Emery said: “We’ve been delighted with the progress Emma has made since joining us last summer.

“She has repaid our faith in her and we’re glad she has accepted our job offer and is now part of the team.”
