AN Acomb florist has found a novel way to ‘show she cares’ on St Leonard’s Day.
Sue Hunter of Floral Elegance, who is a York councillor and chairs Acomb Alive Trading Association, plans to leave several bunches of flowers in public places, so that anyone can pick them up and keep them – for free.
St Leonard’s Hospice is asking people to mark St Leonard’s Day on November 6 by showing they care through an act of kindness, as a reminder that the hospice cares every day.
Sue said: “Hopefully the people who find our bouquets will have a smile to themselves when they get the flowers.”
