WEST Bank Park in Holgate is to be locked overnight again, more than three years after budget cuts left them open around the clock.
The Friends of West Bank Park have arranged for a trial to begin on November 1.
A local security firm will lock the gates at 6pm each day, and local volunteers will open them again by 7.30am.
Signs have been placed at the park to inform regular users, and people will need to leave the park by 6pm each day.
Nightly locking stopped as a result of council budget cuts in 2013.
