TICKETS have gone on sale for a firework and bonfire extravaganza.

Rawcliffe Country Park is again playing host to one of the city’s largest displays on Bonfire Night, Saturday, November 5, and is organised by the city’s fire fighters to raise money for the Fire Fighters Charity.

Money will go towards helping retired and serving members of the emergency service.

Gates open at 5.30pm and fair ground rides, a new feature for this year, will open a short time later.

North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service is encouraging people to attend organised bonfire events this year to reduce the risk of injuries to individuals.

Tickets are available from reception at The Press’ office in Walmgate, fire stations across the city and Rawcliffe Bar Park and Ride.
