Car destroyed by fire in York
A CAR was destroyed by fire last night in a York street.
North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said the fire in Kexby Avenue, off Thief Lane, involved a Peugeot 307.
"The cause is believed to be due to a tyre blow out," said a spokesman.
Meanwhile, two cars were involved in two-vehicle crash on the southbound A1 between Boroughbridge and Allerton Park. Nobody was trapped or injured, added the spokesman.
