RETAILERS and businesses in York have been urged to find out more about City of York Council’s A-board ban, which comes into effect in February.
Details have been distributed to all affected businesses, but a drop-in session will be held in Guildhall, from 8am to 7pm on November 8, to allow people to find out more.
Cllr Ian Gillies, council executive member for planning, said: “We hope that by contacting businesses and retailers well in advance of this new policy and offering as much support and advice as possible it will allow plenty of time for them to consider any alternative advertising measures before February.”
