A MOTHER and son are joining forces to judge a cake competition for a hospital charity.
Dan and Annette Harker, the co-owners of The Cake Shop and Tea House, in Fossgate, have signed up to judge Caketober Cake Off, which raises money for York Teaching Hospital Charity (YTHC).
This year the judges will be looking for the best showstopper cake and will be judging the bakers on creativity, design, as well as appearance.
To enter, entrants need to bake their best cake and tag YTHC in a picture of themselves with the cake, on Twitter @YorkTHCharity or Facebook by Monday, October 24. You are invited to sell the cake and make a donation to the charity.
