PLANS to improve air quality at a pollution black spot in a North Yorkshire town have received a £237,000 Government cash injection.
The money will be used to adapt Transdev buses which go through the Bond End junction in Knaresborough and cut their nitrogen oxide emissions by at least half.
Specialist consultants Mouchel, who will do detailed traffic and environmental modelling work on the junction in Knaresborough, have met with North Yorkshire County Council officers and members of the Bond End Steering Group.
The group hopes to consult the community over improvement proposals in January.
