DETECTIVES want to speak to this man in connection with an attack in a York bar.

North Yorkshire Police said the victim was in the Drawing Board in New Street, at about 3.30am on Monday, August 22, when the attack took place.

The victim had been drinking with friends and went to the outdoor smoking area, where he talked to a woman, then kissed the back of a man who was standing nearby.

A police spokesman said: "The man turned around and pushed the victim’s back, launching the man over a barrier and causing him to fall head-first.

"He landed on the wine glass he was holding, which caused two deep lacerations to his arm which needed stitches. The man who was kissed then made a homophobic comment to the victim."

York Press:

The man is described as being in his late twenties, between 5’ 10” and 6’ 4” tall, of a very large muscular build with short brown hair, and was wearing a white shirt, dark jeans and shoes.
