Dark days: clashes between police and striking miners at Orgreave in 1984
ONCE again the Government has ruled out a full inquiry into Orgreave.
The images of the attack on the miners in June 1984 when thousands of miners were picketing the mines and the police used excessive force will be with me forever.
Lots of miners were falsely charged with rioting but acquitted.
I supported the miners and hope the government has the decency to admit the guilt.
