TWO familiar faces will meet again on Tuesday night in the York John Smith's Ladies Darts League individual final.

Tracey Farmeary, captain of Tramways ‘B’, will face Fulfordgate captain Michelle Britton after both won their respective semifinals this week.

Farmeary beat Britton's mother Muriel with two 23 dart legs.

It was steady scoring in the first leg before Britton hit a 120 to edge in front. However, a timely 121 which left 72 allowed Farmeary to checkout on her next throw.

High scoring was the order of the night from both players. Farmeary hit 140 before finishing on double two.

Britton, meanwhile, also ran out a 2-0 victor against Severus ‘B’s Wendy Storr.

Again, there was consistent high scoring from both players however, a missed double top from Storr let Britton in to close on 53.

The Fulfordgate captain set off with 85, 85, 100 to gain a sizeable advantage. Storr closed the gap as Britton missed her chances before a double one checkout saw her progress to the final.

Britton is also involved in other finals.

Dawn Exton joined Britton in the pairs where they met Tramways' mother and daughter Tracey and Natalie Farmeary.

Both Gate players hit tons in the first leg and Britton closed on 90.

The Farmearys found their throw with some top scoring in the second leg - Tracey with 140 and100 to leave daughter Natalie with a 32 finish which she promptly dispatched to set up a deciding leg.

All four players excelled in the decider with Britton hitting a ton to edge in front however Natalie hit a ton before Britton checked out on double 8.

Wendy Storr/Michelle Kelly will be their opponents as they dispatched Burnholme pairing Sarah Jackson/Sharon Neads.

Finishing let the Burnholme pair down in the first leg - Storr closing on 52.

In the second leg, it was nip-and-tuck all the way before Kelly secured the win with double 14.

Britton and Exton were joined by Lynn Thompson in the triples where they were given a hard match by Faye Hawksby, Sue Smith and Chris Hayward of Marcia.

Britton set off with a ton but Hawksby hit a 140. With some steady scoring, Marcia edged in front however Britton hit a maximum to tie the scores and a treble sixteen, double top finish saw Thompson close the first leg.

Exton/Britton clocked up the tons in the second leg and Britton closed the match with a 43 check.

Storr and Kelly were joined by Storr's mother Dot Sellars as the Severus trio took on Burnholme's Marj Pearson, Caroline Whittaker, and Jean West.

Steady scoring from the Severus Ladies saw Storr take her chance with 32 finish to go one up. Storr hit two tons in the second leg and Sellars sealed victory with a double two shot out.

In the captain/ vice captain's trophy Britton/Exton combined again to play Farmeary and Bev Harton of Tramways ‘B’.

The Way side could not get going in the first leg as Exton checked double 9. The second leg saw Farmeary/Harton up their game, the latter hitting a 140, and partner Farmeary a ton.

Exton replied with 125 and Britton a ton. The game was close before Farmeary hit a double one shot out.

The deciding leg again saw the players hitting the high scores before Britton closed double ten for victory.

They will face Burnholme's Pearson/Whitaker who both finished a leg to see off Priory’s Di Moreland/Clair Cooper.

Britton is also through to the Elsie Bell Drawn Mixed Pairs final with Severus’s Dot Sellars after they beat Natalie Farmeary and Sharon Nelson (Saddle) who has done well in her first entry into competitions.

Britton, however, showed her finishing prowess, closing double six and double nine to seal victory.

They will meet Sharon Neads (Burnholme)/Linda Stavely (Ox ‘A’) who saw off Nead's team colleague Sarah Jackson and Sharon Lyons (Saddle).

Stavely sealed victory with a 50 checkout.
