Service to be held in memory of York head teacher
A MEMORIAL service will be held to honour a former York headteacher next month.
Ann McKeown ran Huntington Primary School for more than a decade, and had previously worked at Carr Infants in Acomb.
Her sudden and unexpected death in July led to an outpouring of tributes from former colleagues, pupils and parents around York.
A service of celebration of Mrs McKeown’s life will be held on Sunday, October 16, at the University of York’s Central Hall in Heslington from 3pm.
