AN “inadequate” York mother has admitted being cruel to three of her children by biting one and making another stand outdoors in the cold and dark.
The 49-year-old will be sentenced on October 17 at York Crown Court. She has been released on bail.
She pleaded guilty to four charges, including biting a child and not getting medical treatment when they needed it, making another stand outdoors in the cold and rain and ill treating a third child.
Glenn Parsons, prosecuting, said: “The Crown’s case is that this is a case of poor parenting by someone trying to do their best for their children, someone inadequate and unable to cope.”
- The woman in this case cannot be named for legal reasons, so the anonymity of the children can be maintained.
